I love what Penny Arcade had to say about it.

Ok, there is more to it. Sometimes you help friends get unstuck and vise versa too.

Sometimes I consider replacing my creaky graphic card-less laptop that has a giant hole in the casing for something that can actually run games. But the I remember how much my ps4 was...

Resale value on a ps4 is still high if you want to join the better side...

Seriously, its quite jalop for a game. The clattery soviet-era diesel trucks are too much fun to drive.

It takes 3 hours to get anywhere but it's a very engaging three hours. By all rights you should be bored out of your skull but you boot the game up and suddenly it's 11pm.

I spent 2 hours trying to winch out a flipped over truck. I have no clue why I wasn't bored during that time but the game is so different then everything I played. Definitely very engaging.

I've been hearing a lot of chatter about this game. What I've gleaned so far is:
A) It's an offroad game (a genre I haven't really been into since, say, Smuggler's Run)
B) You get stuck a lot (which sounds, at face value, boring as hell)
C) Getting stuck, and then trying to get unstuck, is deeply engaging and fun as hell (and I'm willing to believe that this is true, for the sake of trying the game out)
What I haven't heard is whether or not a steering wheel/pedals are mission critical. I don't own a set, though I'd like to buy them, if not for this, then for Project CARRRRS. What are your thoughts on that?

I don't even think it's compatible with wheels and pedals yet. Depending on the vehicle and options you choose for it, you might not get stuck if you stick to the roads. It's not so much an action game, but more of a tactical game. You have to think the whole route ahead including the addition of extra weight from getting your load and the fuel and ability to go through mud that it causes. The game sucks and is annoying for the first hour, but after you get some understanding on how to play (the instructions in the beginning are terrible/non existent) it becomes the best game you've owned. There are a lot of small details that make it enjoyable like playing manual and using your mouse to put it in the right gear. You sometimes have to jiggle it for it to stick in gear. The physics of the game are the best I've experienced too, like pushing mud with a taller trucks bumper so a shorter truck can make it through.
